Susana Barbosa
Was born in Porto in 1974, where she studied Jewellery since 1990, in 1993 concluded the professional course of goldsmiths in the artistic School of Soares dos Reis in Porto, graduate in Jewellery by the School of Arts and Design ESAD in Matosinhos and post-graduated in Jewellery Design by Glasgow School of Art.
From 1997 to 2002 collaborated as a jewellery designer with several companies in the business.
In 1999 opened one of the first jewellery galleries in Porto "Quarto Escuro", where she exhibited works of her authorship and organized several individual and collective exhibitions.
Susana was professor of jewellery at the artistic School of Soares dos Reis and director of the professional jewellery course for 4 years.
Was co-responsible for “Autoria” Gallery | Workshop at the Bombarda Shopping Center in Porto, where she sells her work and organizes exhibitions of contemporary jewellery of national and foreign authors.
Currently produces jewels of its own with the brand Susana Barbosa Jewellery SBJ
